About

Enyi Tang (b. 2000, Yixing, China) is a visual artist working across photography, installation, and moving image. She is completing her degree in Photography at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Her artistic practice focuses on perceiving and contemplating the nature and mechanism behind the existence of various things, as well as their interconnections and cycles. Through the construction of images, she explores the individual’s positioning and perception within the real world.

Tang engages with the interplay between photography and installation, exploring ways to break the flatness of the image and transform it into a tactile, layered presence. Attuned to the overlooked details of everyday life, she reconfigures familiar objects through abstract logic, allowing them to take on new symbolic meaning. Through the reconstruction and redefinition of found materials, her work explores how objects accumulate emotion over time and perception, becoming part of a visual narrative.

Her style leans toward restraint and subtlety, emphasizing the delicate tension between atmosphere and structure. Rather than presenting direct narratives, her work creates space for reflection between details and intentional voids, constructing an open, contemplative environment that invites viewers to reconsider the connections between things within a fragile and uncertain visual field.
